The wonderful World Heart Beat Music Academy now has a new addition to their array of musical instruments to inspire young people – one that gives them the Jimi Hendrix experience!

How so? Well, they were given a great, iconic guitar but in an unplayable, painfully neglected state. Nothing we couldn’t fix for them, of course. But since this was a left-handed white Fender Stratocaster famously famously played by Jimi Hendrix at the Woodstock festival it called for a fix with a twist.

You see, Jimi played left handed but there weren’t many lefty versions of his beloved Stratocasters around in his day so he had to flip them over and play with the control knobs, lead jack and tremolo arm somewhat awkwardly positioned under his strumming hand.

We mirrored this by converting a lefty for right-handed players so that they get a rare chance to experience this great instrument the way Jimi did. Now complete with a 60s style woven strap and coiled guitar lead – voilà the Jimi Hendrix experience at the World Heart Beat Music Academy in London, SW18.

“It will be adorned by all budding guitar players at the World Heart Beat Music Academy.”
